3Shires store, near Newent
Brown and Green (previously called Shepherd’s Farm Shop) is based at 3 Shires Garden Centre, near Newent in Gloucestershire. We are lucky to be located amongst farms, nurseries, gardens and food producers which supply us with delicious, fresh local food - some from only a stones throw away!
In Gloucestershire, yet very close to the borders of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, we are located at the heart of the Three Counties and their wonderful produce.
Open Mon-Sat 9am-5.30pm, Sun 10am-4.30pm.

We are really looking forward to our Spring Food Fair at 3 Shires on Sat 31st March - celebrating our wonderful local food and drink. Come along to taste, buy and meet the producers, and enjoy the live folk band, a hog roast and cider, plus an Easter egg hunt and fun activities for the kids.

Our Food and Drink
In our store we sell a range of seasonal fruit and vegetables (we are located in the most wonderful fruit growing area, with access to the freshest fruit and tastiest varieties). This is complemented with a wide range allowing for a complete shop - including
- meat, poultry, seasonal game
- bakery and cakes
- dairy and cheese
- preserves, chutneys and sauces
- flour, ingredients and wholefoods
- pies, quiches and ready meals
- salamis, olives and antipasti
- cider, wine, beers and spirits
Our Awards
Since opening in 2007 (orginally as Shepherd’s Farm Shop) we are proud to have won a Gold Taste of the West Award for each year - 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 - recognising our sustained commitment to the sourcing and promotion of local produce, as well as providing a pleasant, professional and friendly shopping experience.
In 2011 we were also delighted to be named South West Runner Up in the Deli of the Year competition, and Best Local Food Retailer in the Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards.
About us
Shepherd’s Farm Shop was the first store opened by Susie and Euan Keenan, and as directors of Brown and Green, a Blue Diamond partnership, they now manage further food stores at Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, and at Little Eaton, Derby. Business partner Fran Jupp manages the 3 Shires store with the passion for local produce, service and professional standards that are so important to all the team. As well as our genuine great local produce, we are set apart by a dedicated and professional team - Fran and Inga, supported by Hannah, Evie and Millie - all do a fabulous job in keeping our shop ship shape, caring for our valued customers and sharing what they love about our food.
