Plum Puree

Plum Puree (Serves 5)
Delicious served hot with ice cream or yoghurt, or on top of cereal for breakfast!
- 675 g / 1½ lb ripe plums
- 175 g / 6 oz sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 cinnamon sticks (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
(Alternative spice: try with ground ginger or ginger pieces in syrup)
Wash, halve and stone the plums. Place plums in a saucepan with the sugar, water and cinnamon. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently until the plums have softened. Mash by hand or puree as desired.
